Product Overview
The FTAD is a high-performance DisplayPort Active Optical Cable (AOC) engineered for uncompressed transmission of UHD video and audio signals over extended distances up to 100 meters. It integrates a hybrid cable architecture consisting of multi-mode optical fibers and copper conductors to ensure both high-bandwidth data transfer and reliable signal control. Supporting DisplayPort 1.2a and 1.4 with a maximum data rate of 32.4 Gbps (HBR3), the FTAD enables 8K resolution at 60Hz without signal degradation. The transmitter and receiver modules feature 20-pin male DisplayPort connectors and require no external power, drawing minimal power directly from the source and sink devices. AUX and Hot Plug Detect (HPD) signals are carried over copper lines, maintaining compatibility with DisplayPort protocol layer functions, including DPCD and HDCP. With its compact form factor and compliance with professional AV and IT infrastructure requirements, the FTAD is ideal for high-resolution, long-distance display applications in environments such as control rooms, broadcast facilities, surgical theaters, and large-scale commercial installations.
